Q: How often shall I replace my filter elements?
A:

The replacement frequency of filer elements depends on the type of filter elements and the quantity of solid contaminants in the working system. If the system pressure gauge reminds of a significant pressure rise, you shall replace your filter elements as soon as possible.

Q: How to choose proper seal material for my filter bags?
A:

You may choose seal material according to the chemical compatibility, system operating temperature and filter bag disposal method.

  • Chemical compatibility. Filter bag seal rings are generally made of molded plastic, galvanized steel or stainless steel. The properties of sealing material shall be chemically compatible with the liquid to be filtered.
  • Operating temperature. If the operating temperature of the system exceeds 190 °F, molded plastic seal ring may melt or soften due to high temperature, therefore, steel seal rings are recommended in high temperature working conditions.
  • Filter bag disposal method. Some waste filter bags are disposed of by incineration, in this case, molded plastic seal rings are recommended.
Q: What measures are taken to extend the service life of my filter?
A:

To make your filter last longer, effective maintenance measures must be taken to keep the filter in good conditions during operation. Pay a close attention to pressure gauges, if the pressure increases significantly, it indicates that the filter element may be clogged and needs to be replaced. In addition, you also need to check and clean the filter element regularly. If you find the filter element or filter seal is damaged during cleaning, replace it promptly.
